1. Traditional Indian (Ayurvedic) and Chinese Medicines associated with heavy metal poisoning

2. Zolpidem and bizarre sleep related effects

3. Increased risk of fractures associated with enzyme-inducing antiepileptic medicines

The Australian Adverse Drug Reaction Advisory Committee have just published their latest bulletin featuring ADRs to complementary medicines, avoiding isotretinoin in pregnancy, bisphosphonates and osteonecrosis of the jaw, and statins now contraindicated in pregnancy.

Cardiovascular safety of celecoxib (Celebrex)

Pfizer has released information from two long term trials of celecoxib in cancer patients. One of the trials showed an increased cardiovascular risk over placebo.
